#Firefighters Save Lives. Are we worthy of being saved?
Romans 5:7-8 “Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die.
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
As firefighters, we don’t ask someone if they are worthy before they call. Jesus died for us even though we weren’t worthy. He saved us. He answered us before we called.
“Before they call I will answer, while they are yet speaking I will hear” Isaiah 65:24
The same burden on your heart that you feel to save others is a mere glimpse of the love that God has for you.
Who do you think put the desire in your heart to serve?
What makes an individual want to sacrifice so much for someone they may have never met, may not like, or may not agree with?
This is the calling in your heart from God and it is called Love.
Jesus said “Whatever you did for the least of these you did for me” (Matthew paraphrase)
Jesus served in spite of indifference, hatred, and ignorance because:
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life-John 3:16
You see, none of us are worthy yet He died for me, for you, and for all of us so that we may live. Serve others and share this hope that you have within you.
